Workshops
Immerse yourself in the sonic landscape of gongs, singing bowls and other overtone emitting instruments. During the Sound bath we will lay on the floor to rest the physical body. Through mindful listening and positive intention, we will allow sound to guide us into deeply relaxing, healing, and meditative states of consciousness.

Ayurveda, the science of life, is a 5,000 year old holistic system of natural healing that provides guidelines on how to live harmoniously by working with nature’s five basic elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) to inform our lifestyle choices including food, daily and seasonal routines, and exercise. We will explore how to balance the elements present in the summer season, and practices to balance their effects so that we can have a more harmonious relationship with ourselves and our external environment.
In Ayurveda, food is of paramount importance as it is used as medicine to create balance in mind, body, and spirit. The Summer season is characterized by pitta qualities - hot, sharp, and intense among others. A basic tenet of Ayurveda is “like increases like and opposites balance.”
In this session, we will explore:
The qualities of summer season and signs of imbalance;
Foods to eat this season and tips for keeping a steady agni (digestive fire);
Daily routines to cleanse the senses including tongue scraping, using rose water, and abhyanga (self-oil massage);
Performing an abhyanga (self-oil massage - having coconut oil on hand is recommended for this session)
